HALLOWEEN READS BY KARINA FABIAN

CWG member Karina Fabian is traveling on a cyber-space book tour to promote Frightliner & Other Tales of the Undead (Damnation Books LLC, 2011) with collaborative author Colleen Drippe’. She will tour with Frightliner from October 1-16, and for her other novel, Neeta Lyffe, Zombie Exterminator (Damnation Books LLC, 2010)from October 16-31.
A horror anthology, Frightliner tells the story of Jay Carlson’s run in with a strange, dark truck on a lonely road that begins a series of strange adventures. “He sees things that others don’t see. He learns things he wishes he could forget, and he is drawn into an ancient battle he wouldn’t have believed in even a day in the past.” Included are two extra stories an an excerpt from Karina’s novel Neeta Lyffe, Zombie Exterminator.
Frightliner is available through Damnation Books and Amazon on Kindle.

Neeta Lyffe, Zombie Exterminator recently won the 2011 Global E-Book Award for Best Horror. Although winning in the horror category, Neeta Lyffe is a satire, with political trends gone wild–from the government making cars like The Entitlement and The Deficit (which has faulty brakes), to the Undead Rights movement, to environmentalism embracing the Global Cooling theory. Tribute Reviews said, “Neeta is to zombies like Buffy is to vampires.”

Neeta Lyffe, Zombie Exterminator is Fabian’s second published novel. Her first, Magic, Mensa and Mayhem, won the 2010 INDIE award for best fantasy. You can watch Neeta Lyffe Zombie Exterminator‘s short trailer, One Master Zombie Exterminator at ZombieDeathExreme.com, produced by Kim Richards of Damnation Books.

A tongue and cheek look at Reality TV in a zombie-inhabited world, Neeta Lyffe must train apprentice zombie exterminators in a Survivor-style TV show. Although Karina is the head writer on One Master Zombie Exterminator, she was assisted by other CWG members Walt Staples, Ann Richards, and Devon Ellington. Credit also goes to Karina’s daughter, Amber Fabian, for the graphics.  Neeta Lyffe is available in Kindle and paperback through Amazon and Damnation Books.

Timothy Ward at timothycward.com recently reviewed Karina’s other summer release, Mind Over Mind (Dragon Moon Press, 2011). He gave Mind Over Mind five out of five stars for the “solid, clear cut writing; three point of view characters with emotional investment and story lines that keep you engaged to the end; and a fascinating idea about an alien world contacting a young boy from two different angles.” He also states that when not set in a fantastical alien world, Karina explores the carefully hidden secrets that could thrive in a mental health facility when you have a telepath and a manipulative chief psychiatrist.”

Mind over Mind is available at Amazon on Kindle and paperback.

Karina’s prolific recent releases also include a story in Mother Goose is Dead (Damnation Books LLC, 2011), an anthology of modern myths, fables and fairy tales by twenty-six authors. In Karina’s tale, Vern the Dragon Detective writes about fairy-tale scams. Mother Goose is Dead is available from Damnation Books and on Amazon in paperback and Kindle editions. One reviewer downloaded Mother Goose is Dead on “a whim and found myself unable to pry from its clutches! What a show case of talented authors. Well worth a look!”
