JUST IN TIME FOR CHRISTMAS…A STAR IN THE NIGHT

Looking for appropriate children’s Christmas books before Advent begins? CWG Member Jennifer Gladen’s A Star In The Night (Guardian Angel Publishing, 2010) explores the true meaning of Christmas through the eyes of a young boy named David.

Geared for children 5-12, with beautiful illustrations by K.C.Snider, the reader follows David as he makes his way home on Christmas Eve and finds this is no ordinary night. “Accompanied by a shimmering star and some tough decisions, David encounters three experiences that will change his view of Christmas forever. Join David on his wondrous journey home.”

In January, 2011, A Star In The Night received the Catholic Writers’ Guild Seal of Approval Award, given to fiction and nonfiction books that are consistent with the Church’s teachings and are faithful with the Magesterium.

Lisa Hendey of CatholicMom.com said, “While A Star in the Night takes place one snowy Christmas Eve, don’t make the mistake of thinking that this book is only a holiday treasure. With lovely illustrations by KC Snider capturing the warmth and inspiration of the plot.”

A Star In The Night is available from Jennifer Gladen’s website at www.jengladen.com, through Guardian Angel Publishing, Amazon and Barnes and Noble.com in print, e-book, or cd/e-book. You can also order an autographed copy through www.jengladen.com/A-Star-In-The-Night.php.

Jennifer Gladen is a children’s author, mother of three, and teacher who lives and writes in Pennsylvania. Among her books, stories and articles are Teresa’s Shadow (Guardian Angel Publishing, 2010) and a Catholic e-zine called My Light Magazine. My Light Magazine is a free e-zine for children through age 12 covering stories, articles, crafts, poems and Bible stories with a goal to teach children their Catholic faith and help them deepen their relationship with God.

Jennifer’s next book, Angel Donor, will be released by Guardian Angel Publishing. Angel Donor is about a girl receiving a liver transplant, a specialized book based on Jennifer’s daughter.
