I hope everyone is having a great Advent! I wanted to grab an open slot to let you know about some blog news:
This month is a little topsy-turvy. Just like in real life, right? Some of our writers are on break for the holidays, and we have some new columnists helping fill the void.
Construction is underway at an undisclosed location. New Year, New Platform. That’s our slogan and don’t try to talk us out of it. One of these days you’ll click on the same old CWG blog link, and find the place redecorated. We’re moving to a WordPress-based platform on our own server, not because it is prettier (I hate to give up the library theme — I feel so at home in a library), but because we needed a few of the editing and commenting features that WordPress offers.
–> What you need to know: Not much. On the big day, when you go to comment, there will be a new sign-in form, and an option to subscribe to new posts and/or new comments. The “subscribe to comments” feature makes it easier to hold combox conversations, because you can be notified when someone replies to you. I’m looking forward to the switch.
On that note: If you are currently writing for the CWG, you should have gotten an e-mail from me already. If it didn’t arrive, e-mail me at: blog AT catholicwritersguild DOT com, and I’ll get you up to speed.
Sarah R. says blogs need photos! I’m thinking of using this one on the new theme. What do you think? |
I like it!
Bwahahahaha.
I like that picture. It will look great on the new blog. You can use it with every post. 🙂
