An Advent celebration is occurring online in honor of CWG member Lisa Mladinich’s newly rebuilt and relaunched website, www.AmazingCatechists.com. AmazingCatechists.com is giving away two dozen Catholic books from December 6 through December 15.

You can enter to win a free book by leaving a comment at any of the AmazingCatechists.com columns anytime from now until December 15. Drawings will begin on the 6th. All comments dated from December 1st on will be eligible until the last prize is given on the 15th.

Among the books given away are two books by Lisa Hendey, A Book of Saints for Catholic Moms and The Handbook for Catholic Moms. Other authors include: Sarah Reinhard, Ellen Gable, Mary Lou Rosien, Alexander J. Basile, Cay Gibson, Leticia Velasquez, Michele Elena Bondi, Donna-Marie Cooper O’Boyle and Lisa Mladnich. See the AmazingCatechists.com site for a complete list of all the books given away.

AmazingCatechists.com was created to serve and support catechists, parents, youth ministers, and people in adult formation ministries. The website has many resources for catechists including Bible stories, book reviews, interviews with other catechists, even Catholic comics by Ellen and James Hrkach. Readers can also submit their teaching ideas, join forums, and read columns written by other catechists, including Mary Lou Rosien, Sarah Reinhard, Pat Gohn, and Marc Cardaronella among many others.

Lisa Mladinich, founder of www.AmazingCatechists.com, is a Catholic wife and mom, catechist, and the author of Be An Amazing Catechist: Inspire the Faith of Children and Be An Amazing Catechist: Sacramental Preparation, both published by Our Sunday Visitor. Lisa is also the creator of “Paradox Puppets,” a free on-line, catechetical puppet script ministry and the only Catholic ministry of its kind in the word, hosted by Lisa Hendy at CatholicMom.com (with Spanish translations by Maria R. Rivera).

Lisa also teaches a parish workshop called, “You Can Be An Amazing Catechist…Here’s How,” and is available for media interviews, speaking engagements, and consultation on religious education programs for children. You can contact Lisa at lisamladinich at optoline.net.
