CWG Prayer Chain Post: December 26, 2011

The CWG Prayer Chain Post is a weekly post for members to include their special intentions by adding a comment.

Have a happy and blessed holiday season.

John 1:1-5

In the beginning was the Word: the Word was with God and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things came into being, not one thing came into being except through him. What has come into being in him was life, life that was the light of men; and light shines in darkness, and darkness could not overpower it.

The power of prayer and the power of people praying.

December Intention Prayer

The Magnificat or The Canticle of Mary (Luke 1: 46-55)
And Mary said:
“My soul glorifies the Lord
and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior,
for he has been mindful
of the humble state of his servant.
From now on all generations will call me blessed,
for the Mighty One has done great things for me—
holy is his name.
His mercy extends to those who fear him,
from generation to generation.
He has performed mighty deeds with his arm;
he has scattered those who are proud in their inmost thoughts.
He has brought down rulers from their thrones
but has lifted up the humble.
He has filled the hungry with good things
but has sent the rich away empty.
He has helped his servant Israel,
remembering to be merciful
to Abraham and his descendants forever,
even as he said to our fathers.”

Thank you for the prayers for my husband after his heart attack in November. I would ask for additional prayers for his next heart procedure on January 20th. He is still wearing the defirallator vest for now. Hopefully, in a couple months they can do their tests and see if he is a candidate for a pace maker. I have put my writing on hold for now, but hope to get back at it in the future. God’s blessings to all the CWG writers.
