So who is this new guy posting to the CWG blog?

I’m a teacher, instructional designer, and proud homeschooling dad. I’m a Catholic blogger and am working on my first contracted book.

I’m a Jersey boy (no, not the Shore – much further west!), and even in my short life, my Garden State has become much less gardened. I grew up in a suburb across from farmland, which is now a development and offices. There’s a lot of beauty in my home, still, but you have to look a little harder at times to find it. Perhaps that’s not a bad thing – learning to really look for beauty.

Beauty is everywhere, because God is everywhere, and God is not just beautiful but beauty itself. I hope my posts during 30k for Christ – some from the recent Catholic Writers Conference Online, some new – help in some small way to see the beauty of writing for our Lord.

If you enjoy the posts and would like to see more from me, please visit my personal site joewetterling.com; my catechetical blog, Ho Kai Paulos; or my commentary on sci-fi and fantasy, The Baptized Imagination.
