The CWG Prayer Chain Post is a weekly post for members to include their special intentions by adding a comment.

 Matthew 9:9-13

As Jesus was walking on from there he saw a man named Matthew sitting at the tax office, and he said to him, Follow me.’
And he got up and followed him. Now while he was at table in the house it happened that a number of tax collectors and sinners came to sit at the table with Jesus and his disciples.
When the Pharisees saw this, they said to his disciples, ‘Why does your master eat with tax collectors and sinners?’
When he heard this he replied, ‘It is not the healthy who need the doctor, but the sick. Go and learn the meaning of the words: Mercy is what pleases me, not sacrifice. And indeed I came to call not the upright, but sinners.’

The power of prayer and the power of people praying.

SEPTEMBER INTENTION PRAYER

Prayer to St. Michael the Archangel

Saint Michael the Archangel,
defend us in battle.
Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray;
and do Thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host –
by the Divine Power of God –
cast into hell, satan and all the evil spirits,
who roam throughout the world seeking the ruin of souls.

Amen

  1. The St. Michael is a wonderful tool as is the power of the intentions we agree upon together. I lift up a special intention for myself, my health and any future work that I’ll be able to do for the sake of the Lord. Thank you!

  2. Powerful prayer to St. Michael the Archangel! Our parish says it as part of rosary after mass on tuesdays, at start of Eucharistic Adoration. I always like that prayer when i get time to go.
