You’ve been praying about it, thinking about it and talking about it – and it’s finally here! Pope Benedict XVI has designated this year as the Year of Faith and we have two great opportunities for you to strengthen, fortify and catechize your spirit for the year ahead.

Follow the Tour and pray the Rosary

To celebrate the launch of her new book, A Catholic Mother’s Companion to Pregnancy: Walking with Mary from Conception to Baptism, CWG member Sarah Reinhard invites all of us to spend her blog book tour praying the rosary together. Each day she has been sharing a reflection on a mystery of the rosary and the prayers. The tour began on October 6 and continues through October 26.
You can find a complete listing of the tour stops over at Snoring Scholar. Be sure to enter to win a Nook (and any number of other goodies) each day of the tour over at Ave Maria Press.

A Catholic Mother’s Companion to Pregnancy was launched as the first of the CatholicMom.com Books, building on the popularity of Lisa Hendey’s A Handbook for Catholic Moms and A Book of Saints for Catholic Moms.

Conference covers a wide variety of academic, moral, and social issue

CWG member Lisa Mladinich would like to invite everyone to join her at the MASSIVE New Evangelization networking event, The 20th Annual Conference of the Society of Catholic Social Scientists. Lisa is a columnist, author, speaker and the President of Catholic Writers of Long Island. Lisa will be presenting a workshop along with many other top names in Catholic media, publishing, broadcasting, art, music, and performing arts.

The conference is scheduled for Friday, October 26, and Saturday, October 27. Registration ends October 19th! A schedule of events and information on the location and lodgingas well as much more is available on the website. Hope to see you there!
