The CWG Prayer Chain Post is a weekly post for members to include their special intentions by adding a comment.

Psalms 103:1-4, 6-8, 11
[Of David] Bless Yahweh, my soul, from the depths of my being, his holy name;bless Yahweh, my soul, never forget all his acts of kindness. He forgives all your offences, cures all your diseases, he redeems your life from the abyss, crowns you with faithful love and tenderness; Yahweh acts with uprightness, with justice to all who are oppressed; he revealed to Moses his ways, his great deeds to the children of Israel. Yahweh is tenderness and pity, slow to anger and rich in faithful love; As the height of heaven above earth, so strong is his faithful love for those who fear him.

The power of prayer and the power of people praying.

MARCH INTENTION PRAYER

EZEKIAL 34:11-13

For the Lord Yahweh says this: “Look, I myself shall take care of my flock and look after it. As a shepherd looks after his flock when he is with his scattered sheep, so shall I look after my sheep. I shall rescue them from wherever they have been scattered on the day of clouds and darkness. I shall bring them back from the peoples where they are; I shall gather them back from the countries and bring them back to their own land.” I shall pasture them on the mountains of Israel, in the ravines and in all the inhabited parts of the country.”

  1. Let us pray for our cardinals as they elect our next Pope! May the Holy Spirit grant them wisdom in their decision.

Here is a lovely prayer that was printed in my church’s bulletin:

Come, Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful,
And kindle in them the fire of your love.
Send forth your Spirit, and they shall be created.
And you will renew the face of the earth.

Lord, you are our eternal shepherd and guide.
In your mercy grant your Church a shepherd
who will walk in your ways and whose watchful care
will guide us to remain faithful to your teaching.
Guide and direct our cardinals they seek to discern your will
in the selection of our next shepherd.
We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son,
who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen.
