Fellow Guild Members,

I am writing on behalf of Patricia Guilfoyle, the Editor of the award winning Charlotte, NC diocesan newspaper, Catholic News Herald.

The Diocese of Charlotte will  host the 2014 Catholic Media Conference next June (18th-20th). This is the annual national conference of the Catholic Press Association of the U.S. and Canada, as well as the Catholic Academy of Broadcasters. We expect about 400-500 editors, reporters, bloggers, ad directors, communications professionals and printers from all over the U.S. and Canada to attend the three-day conference.

The Editor would like to extend two invitations to Guild members: She is in the process of developing the schedule for the conference, lining up workshop training topics and speakers. She is looking for presenters who can speak to the craft of story telling as it applies to journalistic writing, presentations on language usage (grammar, jargon, colloquialisms), blogging, etc. If you are a speaker and believe you have a presentation or workshop that would fit her needs, please contact her for further discussion:
