Dear Guild Members,

I know you just got back from the Conference, and it slipped your mind to send in your blog link for August! Therefore, I’m taking editorial privilege and seeking you out! There have been a few mixed messages about whether we’d continue this Round-up, and I’m here to tell you we’ll keep it up all year if we get participation. I’m particularly interested in knowing who is writing book reviews. I’d like to highlight a few I’ve uncovered for you among your fellow members.

First, Erin Cupp and her heavenly friends will help you get over writer’s block and Nancy Ward challenges writers to learn more about their charisms. Now you’ve no excuse not to have a link in next month’s round-up!

Next, here are some book reviews you might have missed, and I think they need a round of applause.

Julie Davis gets the award for most prolific reviewer in our Guild blog. Her reviews are always thoughtful and well-written, but I particularly liked this one, on The Quiet Light. (Julie, maybe you could write in and encourage more reviewing among Guild members….you’re doing a great job!)

Larry Peterson reviewed The Way to Eternal Life, Nancy Ward reviewed 21 Ways to Worship, Don Mulcare reviewed  Nation, and yours truly practically went to jail over Infinite Bandwidth!

All in all, it was a weak month for blog links, but a fantastic month for member connections, retreat, writing, inspiration and networking. Not a bad trade-off! See you next month…

P.S. Looking for Writers Guidelines for Catholic markets? I have two new markets up at Catholics Communicate Christ: Voices and Columbia magazines.
