The CWG Prayer Chain Post is a weekly post for members to include their special intentions by adding a comment.

Romans 12:1-2
I urge you, then, brothers, remembering the mercies of God, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, dedicated and acceptable to God; that is the kind of worship for you, as sensible people. Do not model your behaviour on the contemporary world, but let the renewing of your minds transform you, so that you may discern for yourselves what is the will of God — what is good and acceptable and mature.

The power of prayer and the power of people praying.

AUGUST INTENTION PRAYER

PRAYER FOR ALL NEEDS
We beg you, Lord,
to help and defend us.
Deliver the oppressed.
Pitty the insignificant.
Raise the fall.
Show yourself to the needy.
Heal the sick.
Bring back those of your people who have gone astray.
Feed the hungry.
Lift up the weak.
Take off the prisoners’ chains.
May every nation come to know
that you alone are God,
that Jesus is your Child,
that we are your people, the sheep that pasture.
Amen.
-Clement of Rome

  1. I could use prayers for an intention.

We also are still in recovery after the fire that severely damaged the garage/workshop. The smell in the house makes me feel ill, so I am set up in the RV until the smell is finally gone.

Feeling rather oppressed. Neighbor or neighbors have complained to the police about the mess left by the fire– now if they came by and offered to help haul off some of the equipment destroyed by the fire (not insured because our health insurance went up but our income didn’t) that might be nice, but it takes time on a limited income to set things right and having the police visit to see how things are progressing because they have gotten complaints just blasts my peace.

    Thank you for the prayers!

  2. Prayers for my 87-year-old mother, please, who is anxious about a medical test she is having Tuesday.
