As luck (and the Holy Spirit) would have it we have exciting news for our CWG Members.  Two talented young ladies have decided to join our ranks as interns/proofreaders working with adult supervision;  Teresa Frailey and Mary Woods.   Both youngsters are home schooled, very able and have a love for literature, reading and writing.  We will be lucky to add them to our work force to keep things moving and organized.  In the paragraphs below you can meet both Teresa and Mary, in their own words.  Welcome aboard, ladies, and thank you!

May Francis De Sales, patron of writers and journalists, Doctor of the Church, bless them both richly as they begin this new adventure.

Teresa Frailey

Hello, I’d like to introduce myself as a want-to-be-editor, amateur proofreader.  I’m really excited about this opportunity I’ve been given to help edit the CWG Blog. I started out proof reading when my mother asked me to look over one of her manuscripts before publication. I thought it would be fun, I liked reading, and besides she was my mother, so I did, and  found I really enjoyed proofreading.

Since then I’ve proof-read for other people and had other enjoyable experiences. I began to study resources like the Chicago Manual of Style and writing-technique books. They helped me understand writing better, style, and the way words should flow. Self Editing for Fiction Writers, especially helped me understand how to improve writing in many different ways.

I personally love to write and also enjoy reading a variety of genres, especially classical literature, most kinds of fiction, and religious or biographical works.  I play the violin and piano and love to raise baby animals. Once again I want to say, I’m thrilled to be a part of CWG!

Thus she is particularly interested in fostering a revitalization of excellent Catholic writing. She is eager to continue this mission by volunteering as an intern editor for the Catholic Writers Guild Blog.
