The CWG Prayer Chain Post is a weekly post for members to include their special intentions by adding a comment.

Acts 1:6-10

Now having met together, they asked him, ‘Lord, has the time come for you to restore the kingdom to Israel?’ He replied, ‘It is not for you to know times or dates that the Father has decided by his own authority, but you will receive the power of the Holy Spirit which will come on you, and then you will be my witnesses not only in Jerusalem but throughout Judaea and Samaria, and indeed to earth’s remotest end.’ As he said this he was lifted up while they looked on, and a cloud took him from their sight. They were still staring into the sky as he went, when suddenly two men in white were standing beside them, and they said, ‘Why are you Galileans standing here looking into the sky? This Jesus who has been taken up from you into heaven will come back in the same way as you have seen him go to heaven.

The power of prayer and the power of people praying.

AUGUST INTENTION PRAYER

PRAYER FOR ALL NEEDS
We beg you, Lord,
to help and defend us.
Deliver the oppressed.
Pity the insignificant.
Raise the fallen.
Show yourself to the needy.
Heal the sick.
Bring back those of your people who have gone astray.
Feed the hungry.
Lift up the weak.
Take off the prisoners’ chains.
May every nation come to know
that you alone are God,
that Jesus is your Child,
that we are your people,
the sheep that you pasture.
Amen.
-Clement of Rome

  1. Please pray for my father who passed away this weekend. He was a great man who provided us kids with an excellent example of living a faith-filled life.

    1. Mike, prayers for your Dad and for you. If you are the witness of what your Dad did in the world there is no doubt that he is in heaven right now and praying for and missing you! Amen!
