Summary:
George Pennington wants to be a knight! He bravely faces the fearsome head knight at the annual “tryouts,” hoping to be among the few accepted to Knight School for Boys and Girls. When he accidentally burns his mother’s cherished tapestry, is his chance at Knight School over? A lie seems like the best solution. As lying becomes easier for George, he discovers that students must earn the first piece of armor: The Belt of Truth.

Finally, George moved on to the fourth table, the one with Sir Crewe and the logic questions. He tried to settle his thumping heart, but he had faced his doom at this table last year. The first few questions were easy enough, but the next one stumped him. So he sat still as a stone and thought hard.
“Well, what say you?” Sir Crewe’s voice boomed. He spun to face George. His purple surcoat billowed out around him. His eyes flashed with dragon-like fury.

Theresa Linden has been writing and drawing since grade school. Her father was in the Coast Guard, so she grew up near the ocean, living in California, the tiny island of Guam, and Oahu (one of the Hawaiian Islands). Moving from place to place left her with the impression that life is an adventure. She has since learned that a life of faith brings the greatest adventures of all. Now she loves to bring the Catholic faith to life through adventurous stories. She has over a dozen published novels, three of which won awards from the Catholic Press Association. She is a member of the Catholic Writers Guild and CatholicTeenBooks.com. Her books are featured on Catholic Reads and have been recommended by Virtue Works Media and Today’s Catholic Teacher magazine. A wife, mom of three grown boys, and Secular Franciscan, she resides in northeast Ohio with her family.

Michael Fraley has been editing and posting the CWG Book Blast since 2016. He's adapted the Arthurian portion of Geoffrey of Monmouth's “Histories of the Kings of Britain” to the comic page, has worked in book illustration, graphic design, and has also served as a newspaper columnist. In 2019 the story of his conversion to Catholicism was told in Nancy Ward's book Sharing Your Catholic Faith Story. His primary area of study is in the Jewish roots of the Church, with an emphasis on the Gospel of Matthew and the Epistle of James.
