What Exactly is “Member News”?

If you are a member of the CWG, this blog is for you.  We’d love to share your news with our readers, including:

  • Submissions accepted for publication.
  • Recent publications, second editions, reprintings, and so forth.
  • Links to your work that has been freshly published in online magazines.
  • Upcoming media appearances.
  • Upcoming book signings.
  • Upcoming speaking or teaching engagements.
  • Recent interviews and press appearances.
  • Links to new reviews of your work.
  • Transcripts or recordings of talks you have recently given, or that have been recently published.
  • Awards, honors, and prizes you’ve received for your work in Catholic writing and publishing, in your other professional pursuits, and for your service to Church or community.
  • Professional news, such as a promotion or new position.
  • News related to your life in the Church, such as affiliation with an approved association, or acceptance or major milestones in  seminary or a religious order.
  • Significant personal events – births, deaths, weddings, ordinations, graduations.  Also significant anniversaries of marriage, ordination, or profession of vows.
  • Recent or upcoming undertakings, such as a missions trip, pilgrimage, or travel for research.
  • Other news you think fellow CWG members might appreciate knowing about.  If you aren’t sure, just ask!

When you send your news to our news coordinator, be sure to include:

  • Your name as you wish it to appear on the blog.
  • A link to your website, blog, or facebook page.
  • Links to your news, such as the publisher’s website, the amazon link for your book, and so forth.
  • Links to relevant photos related to your news, or to your author photo.
  • Your author bio.
  • Any particular announcements you want to make sure are included in your news.
