GET YOURSELF REGISTERED FOR THE CATHOLIC WRITERS CONFERENCE LIVE!

The annual Catholic Writers’ Conference Live will be held in Valley Forge, PA, on August 3-5, 2011.  It will be held at the Valley Forge Convention Center in conjunction with the Catholic Marketing Network Trade Show.  The Conference will include a multitude of workshops and presentations on marketing and writing as well as pitch sessions and one-on-one sessions. The National CWG Members Meeting (guests are welcome) and the CALA Awards for Fiction are two firsts for the conference offered by the CWG.

Catholic writers will find the conference a great chance to network with Catholic publishers and retailers. CWG members can even promote their books at the trade show in the CWG booth. Daily Mass, Adoration and the rosary will also be offered. Check the schedule here and list of presenters here.

Those interested in registering for pitch sessions can do so through July 15, 2011, at the Catholic Writer’s Conference Live website.  Thus far publishers such as Ignatius Press, Servant Books/St. Anthony Messenger Press, National Catholic Register, and Sophia Press (fiction) are taking appointments.  More publishers will be added to the list so check back often.

You may also register for One-on-One Coaching Sessions to receive professional help with your manuscript, marketing, blogging, and other facets of writing for thirty minutes. The coaches offering their services include editors, media image consultants, blogging instructors, and seasoned authors.  You must be registered by July 22, 2011, in order for the consultants to review your material, so please check the website for instructions.
