Hey all, I usually keep blog business a shady and secretive affair, but I need some help today rounding up the CWG novelists.   Here’s who I’ve got on my list so far:

John Desjarlais, who has been holding down our Catholic Fiction Saturdays all by himself, and needs to take a break and go write more books.

[Updated with good news: JD’s gonna stick on the blogger-roster and do some hit-n-run short posts on a time available basis.  Yay!]

John McNichol, who is new to the CWG but not to Catholic fiction, and has gamely agreed to step in take on a Saturday a month.

Ann Lewis & Karina Fabian, who do massive amounts of work for the Guild already.  In addition to writing books.  Plus they already write for the blog on other days.  Update: Ellen Gable Hrkach reminds me to add her to this category: And she’s the VP of the CWG, and she’s written three novels, and she writes for the blog.  Okay so my list of novelists is growing, but I’m still on the hunt for blog-volunteers.

And then there’s Jane Lebak, who is one of our all-purpose back-up bloggers, but, get this: she’s busy writing books.  I begin to see a trend.

Now I know there are more of you out there, either already-published novelists or working as an agent or publisher of novel-length Catholic fiction.  If that is you, and you would like to write for the blog, let me know either in the combox or via e-mail, currentresident at fitzes dot com.

[If that is you, but you are not available to write for the blog — for example, because you are busy writing books — you can take this chance to introduce yourself anyway.  Sometimes I think maybe Catholic Fiction Saturdays should be a repeating post that just says “Get off the internet and go write your book.”]

Thanks everyone!

  1. Elena Maria – We'd love to have you write for the blog! Putting together an e-mail for you right now.

  2. Yes! Oh my goodness yes. Okay, but you're already writing for the blog. We have to lay the bait for more. But I'll update my post to fix.
