The CWG Prayer Chain Post is a weekly post for members to include their special intentions by adding a comment.

Wisdom 16:20-21

How differently with your people! You gave them the food of angels, from heaven untiringly providing them bread already prepared, containing every delight, to satisfy every taste. And the substance you gave showed your sweetness towards your children, for, conforming to the taste of whoever ate it, it transformed itself into what each eater wished.

The power of prayer and the power of people praying.

AUGUST INTENTION PRAYER

BLESSED ARE YOU, LORD OUR GOD, WHO WATCHES OVER US IN TIMES OF TRIAL AND DANGER.

Thanksgiving fills our hearts, as we rejoice in You, our Lord and Holy Protector.
We who live in the midst of storm and sickness, of war and danger, who are daily exposed to evil of every sort, rejoice in Your constant and parental love for us.
Surrounded by darkness and the shadow of fear, we do not falter, for we trust that Your constant care cradles us and keeps us safe.

With angelic attention, You watch over our home and each of our bodily temples.
Your holy spirits surround us and, in winged wonder, call us to prayer and to confidence.

Guard us in this time of danger, as Your Holy Presence fills the darkness of this moment with the splendor of Your shelter.

Blessed are You, Lord our God, who watches over us in times of trial and danger.

Amen+

  1. Very saddend by the news of Jeffs death. I did not know him very well but had been around him enough to have the impression that he was a great guy and a great dad! He and his children will be in my thoughts and prayers!

  2. Please pray for the repose of the soul of Jeff Tannehill who drowned August 2 in Table Rock Lake. He was a single father of a 19 year old severely autistic boy and an 11 year old girl who was born without an upper palate and has had numerous surgeries to correct the defect. The kids especially need prayers as their father was their anchor in a really dysfunctional extended family.
