The CWG Prayer Chain Post is a weekly post for members to include their special intentions by adding a comment.

Matthew 8:18-22
When Jesus saw the crowd all about him he gave orders to leave for the other side. One of the scribes then came up and said to him, ‘Master, I will follow you wherever you go.’ Jesus said, ‘Foxes have holes and the birds of the air have nests, but the Son of man has nowhere to lay his head.’ Another man, one of the disciples, said to him, ‘Lord, let me go and bury my father first.’ But Jesus said, ‘Follow me, and leave the dead to bury their dead.’

The power of prayer and the power of people praying.

JULY INTENTION PRAYER

from Psalms 103

Bless Yahweh, my soul, from the depths of my being, his holy name;
bless Yahweh, my soul, never forget all his acts of kindness.
He forgives all your offences, cures all your diseases,
he redeems your life from the abyss, crowns you with faithful love and tenderness;
Yahweh is tenderness and pity, slow to anger and rich in faithful love;
his indignation does not last for ever, nor his resentment remain for all time;
he does not treat us as our sins deserve, nor repay us as befits our offences.
As the height of heaven above earth, so strong is his faithful love for those who fear him.

  1. Please remember in your prayers;

    1) A family member who has just started a new job.
    2) A friend upon whom opportunity will soon smile, that she will receive the graces needed to carry out her mission.
    3) A town, state and country where politics interferes with the common good, that the light of God’s wisdom may break through the gloom of frustration.
    4) That we each remember that it is more important to act as Our Lord has show us than that we obtain our goals at any cost.

    God Bless and thank you.
