The CWG Prayer Chain Post is a weekly post for members to include their special intentions by adding a comment.

Matthew 10:26-33

‘So do not be afraid of them. Everything now covered up will be uncovered, and everything now hidden will be made clear. What I say to you in the dark, tell in the daylight; what you hear in whispers, proclaim from the housetops. ‘Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul; fear him rather who can destroy both body and soul in hell. Can you not buy two sparrows for a penny? And yet not one falls to the ground without your Father knowing. Why, every hair on your head has been counted. So there is no need to be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows. ‘So if anyone declares himself for me in the presence of human beings, I will declare myself for him in the presence of my Father in heaven. But the one who disowns me in the presence of human beings, I will disown in the presence of my Father in heaven.’

JUNE INTENTION PRAYER

A Prayer For a Family

O dear Jesus,
I humbly implore You to grant Your special graces to our family.
May our home be the shrine of peace, purity, love, labor and faith.
I beg You, dear Jesus, to protect and bless all of us, absent and present, living
and dead.

O Mary,
loving Mother of Jesus,
and our Mother,
pray to Jesus for our family,
for all the families of the world,
to guard the cradle of the newborn,
the schools of the young and their vocations.

Blessed Saint Joseph,
holy guardian of Jesus and Mary,
assist us by your prayers
in all the necessities of life.
Ask of Jesus that special grace
which He granted to you,
to watch over our home
at the pillow of the sick and the dying,
so that with Mary and with you,
heaven may find our family unbroken
in the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

Amen.

  1. I ask for prayers for my healthy, active husband who had an unusually irregular EKG in March and despite clean arteries and blood pressure like a teenager ended up with a damaged left ventricle presumably from a virus. He is considered very high risk for sudden death and was supposed to have pacemaker/defibrillator surgery asap but cannot because he had a blood clot in the main artery of his lung that blessedly broke in two (preventing death) and went to his lungs. He has had four emergency room visits (one that again saved his life) and two hospitalizations in three weeks. And yet he smiles.
