Fertile Yet Fallow?
Break up your fallow ground, for it is the time to seek the Lord, that he may come and rain salvation upon you. -Hosea 10:12 (RSV)
It is comfortable here in the sun. The view expands in every direction. The grass grows green. The days pass, the months, the years in staid routine. But is that the goal?
Lord, I give you permission to begin digging. Take the soil of my life and make it a useful space where good things grow – thus providing a variety of food for those hungry in mind, heart, soul and body.
